Modern glass façades are very robust and safe, but the façades can still be damaged more easily than cement clinker or concrete, for example. Repairs are often time-consuming and cost-intensive. The removable side panel on the façade side makes STEELFIX FLEX the ideal façade channel for deep-set glass façades, as it makes replacing a broken pane much easier and more cost-effective.

Damage to glass façades

Glass façades are now very robust. Nevertheless, damage can occur that makes it necessary to replace a pane. It is particularly challenging if the pressure bar is located in the invisible area below the ground surface.

If a pane breaks, this pressure bar must be accessible for pane replacement. If a conventional façade channel is used, the channel and the connected surface covering must be removed. This is time-consuming and costly.

Thanks to the removable side panel, STEELFIX FLEX allows panes to be inspected without removing the channel and the connecting surface – simple, quick and cost-efficient.
