Aiming high: Drainage on 41 floors
The concept of One Forty West was planned and implemented by various renowned architectural firms down to the smallest detail. In addition to a high-quality and luxurious interior, the One Forty West impresses on the outside with its sophisticated façade design. The drainage system therefore not only had to be functional, but also fit aesthetically into the overall concept of the high-rise building. The challenge here: the channels were only allowed to have a low overall height. At the same time, it had to be ensured that even large amounts of water could be safely collected and drained away. The DACHFIX STEEL channel with longitudinal bar grating met the visual and technical requirements of the planners exactly.
In addition to the right product, a high level of logistical competence was also required for the complex installation phase. The drainage channels had to arrive on the respective floor in exact quantities at the time of installation, because intermediate storage areas on site were not available. Due to the close cooperation with the planner and the construction company, the deliveries were precisely timed and brought to the corresponding installation locations via the lift.
