Maintenance friendly: easy access for cleaning and self-cleansing flow within the channel body reduces maintenance requirements and costs
Impressive building with aesthetic drainage
The design concept of ECL had to be the highest of quality due to the historic application next to the Royal Albert Dock and adjacent to the World Heritage Site. The architectural look has a fully glazed double-height glass exterior that runs the entire length of the building.
Channel drainage was required for the perimeter of the building’s facades, which needed to reflect the overall structure. Slotted channels prove to be the ideal solution, as they harmoniously blend into surfaces and give an optimal aesthetic appearance.
Saline conditions require corrosion-free materials
Given ECL is close proximity to a marine environment, consideration had to be made as to what channel would withstand this type of application to avoid corrosion. The RECYFIX channel body with a stainless steel slot drain was ideal as these types of materials are corrosion-resistant.
Overall, the solution provided a perfect combination of aesthetics, durability, ease of installation and excellent performance.
